Roadways were dry at the time of the crash. Both tractor trailer combinations were westbound traveling in the right driving lane.

The tractor trailer combination being driven by Amanuel Hadgu of Tucker Georgia was traveling approximately 45 mph while nearing the top of an uphill grade. The Bolotin combination was behind the Hadgu combination and was traveling at an as of yet

to be determined faster speed.

Bolotin attempted to steer to the right however impacted the passenger side rear portion of Hadgu’s trailer. After impact, Hadgu was able to come to steer to a controlled final position in the westbound emergency lane.

Bolotin’s combination went off the roadway on the right side and into the barrow ditch where the entire cab separated from the tractor coming to rest on the roadway edge. The rest of Bolotin’s combination continued down an embankment going through the right-of-way fence and coming to rest in a pasture. Bolotin was transported via Life Flight helicopter to CRMC in Cheyenne.
