The following personal injury accidents recently were reported to local law enforcement agencies:

• 2:48 p.m. — McKinley Road and South Sasse Road — Bicyclist Caleb John Kipfmiller, 11, Midland, was hurt when he rode a BMX bicycle from a driveway onto the roadway without stopping. The bicycle and a vehicle, driven by William Edward Owens, 54, Midland, collided though Owens swerved to avoid the bicycle. Kipfmiller was treated at the MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland and released.

• 3:59 p.m. — East Isabella Road and North Widenmier Drive — Drivers Julie Anne Wehrly, 51, Farwell, and John David Thompson, 38, Midland, were hurt when two vehicles collided. They were treated and released. Wehrly was ticketed for failing to stop in an assured clear distance.

• 11:22 p.m. — East Isabella Road and South Greenlawn Drive — Driver Vickie Susan Pierce, 60, Beaverton, was hurt when two vehicles collided. She did not seek treatment. The other driver, Edmon Eugene Fields, 69, Flint, was not hurt. Fields was ticketed for being unable to stop in an assured clear distance.

• 1:50 p.m. — West Chippewa River Road and South McGruder Road — Driver Jacy Taylor Lalone, 16, Shepherd, was hurt when she lost control of the vehicle she was driving on a slight curve in the road and it went off the roadway, struck trees and overturned. She was treated and released. A driver re-evaluation is being requested.

Saturday, July 2

• 10:10 p.m. — East Shearer Road and North Wendt Road — Driver James Cody Newbold, 36, Midland, was hurt when he looked down at his phone and lost control of the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle then went off the road, struck a mailbox, went into a





ditch, struck an embankment, jumped a driveway and overturned. He was treated and released. The accident is under investigation.

• 2:24 p.m. — Gordonville Road near South Saginaw Road — Motorcyclist Roland Richard Randall, 57, Midland, was hurt when two vehicles collided. He was treated and released. The other driver, Eric David Gengler, 43, Bay City, was not hurt. Gengler was ticketed for disregarding a traffic control device. Randall was wearing a helmet.

Thursday, June 30

• 12:09 p.m. — U.S. 10 and North Stark Road — Drivers Robin Lynn Caven, 28, Coleman, and Ashley Marie Foor, 19, Bay City, as well as Foor’s passenger, Brittney Lynn Sturm, 18, Bay City, were hurt when two vehicles collided. Foor was treated and released; the others did not seek treatment. Foor was ticketed for being unable to stop in an assured clear distance.

Monday, June 27

• 7:58 a.m. — M-20 and South Homer Road — Driver Nicole Elizabeth Lehr, 22, White Lake, was hurt when two vehicles collided. She did not seek treatment. The other driver, Brandon James Flaugher, 27, Mount Pleasant, was not hurt. Lehr was ticketed for violation of the basic speed law.

• 10:15 a.m. — 683 Eight Mile Road — Steven Timothy Naftzger, 9, Midland, was hurt when he was driving an off-road vehicle and it struck a tree. He was not taken for treatment.

• 12:41 p.m. — M-30 and North Meridian Road — Driver Dale Frederick Wehner, 49, Beaverton, was hurt when two vehicles collided. He was treated and released. The other driver, Kathi Sue Hasenleder, 35, Beaverton, was not hurt. Hasenleder was ticketed for violation of the basic speed law. Wehner was ticketed for no proof of insurance.
