Fair Work Australia for the Northern Territory
Fair Work Australia is set to begin operation in the Northern Territory from 1 July 2009. Fair Work Australia will be a modern accessible body to support the commencement of the new workplace relations laws and will have the power to vary awards, make minimum wage orders, approve agreements, determine unfair dismissal claims and help employees and employers resolve disputes in the workplace.
With the commencement of Fair Work Australia theOffice of the NT Workplace Advocate will cease operations from 30 June 2009.

Fair Work Australia - the national workplace relations tribunal. It is an independent body with power to carry out a range of functions relating
to the safety net of minimum wages and employment conditions, enterprise bargaining, industrial action, dispute resolution, termination of employment and other workplace matters.
